Three Generations
MSP Development was founded in 2016 and develops and leases commercial real estate. It is led by third-generation, Mitchol S. Pappan, grandson of Louis D. Pappan and son of Spiro L. Pappan. Louis began his business in 1955 in the restaurant industry and has successfully operated 38 restaurants. He also diversified into residential development and built and sold over 2,000 homes. At the age of 91, Louis is still active in his business and owns and operates 13 commercial properties. Spiro is also a successful developer completing over 230 sites and currently has holdings of over 1.1 million square feet of retail space.
Under Mitchol’s guidance MSP Development has real estate holdings for single-tenant commercial buildings and multi-tenant strips centers in 6 states. He is responsible for the daily operations of the real estate venture including acquisitions and divestitures, tenant negotiations and leasing, and real estate development.
Construction expertise

Mitchol also founded a General Contracting Company known as MSP General Contracting, LLC in 2018. MSP General Contracting owns and operates their own excavation equipment. MSP General Contracting constructs all of MSP Development properties. The crew prides itself on completing projects on time and on budget and can provide general contracting, excavation, and carpentry work.
